In remembrance of Zissou.
Dear Friends & Family:
I’m very saddened to impart the news that our puppy dog, Zissou, was fatally hit in a car accident yesterday afternoon. Mark and I had been playing with Z in the backyard, as per usual, when he uncharacteristically darted for the street before we could catch up to him. I don’t think it melodramatic to say that we’re utterly brokenhearted. Zissou was such a good little guy – albeit challenging at times (an archetypical Welsh Terrier), we were completely rewarded by having him in our lives. Since first bringing him home at barely 7-8 weeks old, Mark and I invested so much of ourselves in training and caring for him, and we were just starting to see all that effort come through in his – already winning (and intrepid) – personality. Anyone who’s suddenly lost a beloved pet will understand what we’re going through. Thanks to all for your kind thoughts, words and condolences. —Mark + Heidi. We love you, Zee… Yahoo Zissou!

Zissou brought so much Joy!
In remembrance of Sassy Sue. Sassy Sue was taken from the shelter July of 2009 in very horrible condition by her foster mom who volunteers for the Yakima valley pet rescue. She never could gain any weight and no matter what the vet or she did, she remained the same. So she lived her life with her mom until April of 2010 and then it was her time to go to heaven. Her mom loved her to death and she loved her mom and slept with her at bed time. Sassy was very loving and intelligent and made sure mom gave her her peanut butter sandwich every day. She was so smart, she knew how to tell mom everything she needed. It tore her moms heart out to let her go, but it was time. She will miss Sassy Sue and will never forget her. Even in poor condition, Sassy had the will to live and passed away finally in a life of love and comfort which she never had in her prior life before coming to Mom. In honor of Sassy Sue, please don't be cruel to animals and report any animals that are being neglected or abused. You may just be saving a life. There are rescues such as Yakima valley pet rescue who would be glad to help you place your dog so you don't have to dump them etc. This is not goodbye Sassy, you and mom will be together again some day. Love you!

In remembrance of Pepe. In Memory of Pepe La Plu from From Rax, foxy, sher-ree, Sassy, Jake and Jess and Jan Fox. Pepe La plu went to be with the Lord on October 17th 2009. His loving family wanted this wonderful verse put under his photo. Psalms Chap 145 Verse 16 posted with his picture. Lord; you are opening your hand and satisfying every living thing. Pepe was very much loved and will be missed, as he touched their lives with his unconditional love and was truly a gift from God. They will see each other again and what a joy that will be.

In remembrance of Patches. Patches was a rescue dog from the Yakima Valley pet rescue. Her foster mom took her in and just fell in love with her just as much as Patches fell in love with her mom. She lived with mom sleeping on mom's bed near her always until she couldn't get up on the bed anymore by herself and mom had to lift her every night. Patches got worse and medication helped until she came up with conditions that the vet could no longer help her and said it was her time. Mom felt how unfair to only have this wonderful girl taken from her when she only had her for over a year. Her mom held her and for the first time gave mom a kiss and a kiss was given back. Patches passed away in the summer of 2008 and her resting place is between two miniature rose bushes. She was a friend, a companion and a sweetheart that will live on and on in her moms heart until they meet again. Thank you for being my friend and companion. Mom loves you! This Memorial is from her Mom, Catherine Leonard.
